"Clients need lawyers who are effective in the courtroom."

I believe now, more than ever, clients need lawyers who are effective in the courtroom and can help them solve their legal problems. My record includes the successful representation of both plaintiffs and defendants across a wide range of business litigation in state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations. Most recently this work has involved:

  • Securing a permanent injunction to enforce noncompete and nonsolicitation agreements against a former corporate CEO.
  • Gaining a favorable resolution for the client in an arbitration involving the contentious dissolution of a law-firm partnership.
  • Obtaining a defense verdict in a wrongful death, product liability action where plaintiffs sought $165 million in damages.

During my four decades of experience, I have taken more than 150 cases to trial, winning more than a dozen jury verdicts exceeding millions of dollars and gaining defense verdicts against substantial claim demands.

I have been honored over the years by my fellow members of the legal profession in a number of ways, including National Board Certification as an Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, named the Dallas Bar Association’s Trial Lawyer of the Year in 2018, and twice named Lawyer of the Year by the prestigious Best Lawyers in America publication, in 2016 for commercial litigation and 2018 for “bet the company” litigation.

I am also proud to be a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Going forward, I intend to keep doing the sort of work that people have come to expect from me over the course of my career and continue to represent clients in important and interesting cases.

"I have been honored over the years by my fellow members."
